You do not need to have studied the subject at GCSE due to the core nature of the subject within all schools. However, skills in independent study and effective time management are particularly important given the significant demands of the coursework components of the subject.

Whilst this course is College-based, in your A2 studies you will be expected to work with an external business/ organisation to develop a relational database solution.
After the Course
As the course covers a wide range of topics from the technical to the sociological, and provides an opportunity to develop some very advanced practical skills in the use of industry standard software packages, it provides an excellent foundation for further study in a wide range of subjects including Information Systems, Business, Finance, Management, Engineering and Design.
