It is very much aimed at those students who have studied or are studying Fine Art, Graphics or Textiles who wish to gain some experience in three-dimensional work

Resources and Facilities
A well-equipped multi-media workshop with good jewellery-making facilities.
A 'clean' design room.

Teaching and Learning Styles
Pieces are designed, modelled and manufactured to a high standard.
A wide range of techniques is covered by a combination of class work, practical experiments and distance learning to enable effective design to take place..

Extra-Curricular Activities

We expect students to participate in museum/gallery visits as well as the possibility of work experience in a relevant field.

Assessment
Two units are taken at AS level: a coursework research project and a five-hour test under exam conditions.

Progression Opportunities
Many students go on to study an Art Foundation course and then a degree in a related field.
