About this course
Students must have a minimum of 5 A-C individual GCSE subject passes, including a minimum of 2 grade Bs one of which must be English Language or Literature.

Who is the course for?
The course is for all students who have a keen interest in Theatre and how it creates performance, and explores the roles of actors, designers and directors.
What is the course about?

The course integrates theoretical work and practical training. You will be expected to take part in trips to the theatre to witness the professionals in action and you will be encouraged to take part in college productions to display your talent.
Will I need anything else?
The course does involve a number of theatre visits across the country and students are expected to attend these events, although we strive to keep costs to a minimum.
How long & often do I attend?
Currently the course has teaching hours of 4.30 hours per week. However, there is student self directed time over and above this.
How will I be assessed?
Examination is divided into three strands, and takes place throughout each year. Students will be assessed on the research and development of their work through external examination and practical performance.
What opportunities will this lead to?
You could progress to a BA Hons degree in Theatre or English. Following this you could enter employment in the performance industry, teaching, journalism, speech therapy, drama therapy, advertising, marketing or arts administration.
