Following recent case law changes solicitors are now placed in a more significant position concerning a clients capacity to make a will or an LPA than before.
This course aims to equip solicitors with skills for advising on and assessing whether clients has sufficient understanding, to instruct or to execute their documents, in line with the present SRA rules and new SRA Handbook.

This course addresses recent case law changes and provides solicitors with up to date knowledge about capacity matters, such as when when making decisions or an LPA, making a will or litigating, entering into contracts or consenting to care treatments, or even personal relationships.
This course is suitable for solicitors and trainees drafting either wills or LPA’s.
