This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in both the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).

How will I be assessed?
NVQs are assessed using evidence from the workplace, for example observable performance, physical products of works (such as reports, plans, correspondence, etc, witness testimony, discussion and questioning).

What are the entry requirements?Minimum qualifications: Not applicable
There are no formal entry requirements as those new to assessment and hoping to become assessors can take the first unit and gain an understanding of assessment principles and practices. When they are ready to practice they can complete the second and/ or third unit. However in order to achieve these units, assessors will need to have a minimum of two candidates to assess on at least 2 occassions.
