ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) Operation

This course is specifically designed to meet the needs of ATV users operating in the Landbased sector.

Operator assessment forms an integral part of the course that includes:

• General safety and legislation

• Machine layout, controls and functions

• Pre-operation inspection and maintenance

• Factors affecting instability

• Riding techniques

• Ascending, traversing and descending hills

• Coping with obstacles and difficult terrain

• Effects of loads and trailed equipment

• Operator assessment

• Safety equipment required: as per current recommendations Helmets are essential

• National Plant Operators Scheme certificates can be issued for approx £25* per person, or HTP certificate of attendance
