Course Aims:-
- To raise the profile of people who are affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- To improve the quality of care of people who have ASD.
- To facilitate the development of services for people who have ASD
- To develop knowledge and understanding of people with ASD
Learning Outcomes:-
- Gain a working understanding of ASD
- Gain knowledge and understanding of the difficulties a person may have within the areas of Social Communication, Social Interaction and Social Understanding and imagination.
- Gain an in-depth knowledge of the support systems that can be employed that will enhance the individual's quality of life.
- Gain knowledge of behavioural issues associated with ASD.
- Gain a working knowledge of therapeutic interventions in the management of behavioural challenges.
