Description
This course will provide a positive learning environment in which to practice Autogenic Drainage (AD). Revision of the respiratory physiology and patho-physiology will provide a background for the day, which will explore the teaching and practice of AD. There will be opportunities to become familiar with both the philosophy and practical application of AD.
At present no one Airway Clearance Technique (ACT) has been proven to be more effective than any other. This course aims to raise awareness of the application of AD. It is one of many ACT's practised by Chartered Physiotherapists and patients, whose lives are affected by chronic lung disease.
