Week 1 - Aviation English at Shane Global London School
Monday - Friday 09.00 - 12.00
General English - classes of different levels - mixed nationality
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 14.00 - 16.00
Specialised Aviation English - special closed classes for Virgin Atlantic students only.
English for cabin crew, ticketing staff and ground crew
Afternoon Activities
Monday Afternoon - Thames Walk & London Eye
Friday Afternoon - Cream Tea
Friday Evening- English Pub Night
Saturday - Students are free to enjoy leisure time in London or visit one of the surrounding towns, such as Windsor.
Week 2 - Virgin Atlantic Cabin Crew Familiarisation Course
Students practise their English skills at a series of training sessions given by Virgin Atlantic's official trainer. This exclusive course provides an introduction to the VA crew training, covering safety, security, aviation medicine and customer service on the ground and in the air. Students experience some of the practical elements of crew training, and get an overview of the working life of cabin crew staff.
The course price includes:
4 days' training at The Base:
4 days Cabin Crew Familiarisation course at The Base
Course materials (including work book, as well as work sheet sent before the departure)
Attendance & Japanese interpretation support by Aston Rose's London staff throughout the course (Please note, although Japanese interpretation is currently only open to Japanese students, this course is open to all nationalities)
Lunch at The Base's cafeteria during the training period
Full hot meal with drink, at the mock up cabin (part of cabin service training)
Photo shoot by a professional photographer (*photo will be developed and sent after the course)
Course certificate (signed by Sir Richard Branson)
Mini party with the trainer at the end of the course
The course price does not include:
Return flights to the U.K
Transportation between London Heathrow Airport and The Base (Aston Rose London will arrange a chartered bus upon your request)
Accommodation (Aston Rose London will arrange a hotel near The Base upon your request)
Breakfast and dinner during the training period. (Lunch is included in the course fee)
Any free activities outside training hours, London sightseeing tour, etc.
Throughout the training conducted at The Base, students will be looked after by dedicated staff, who will also interpret for Japanese speakers whenever necessary. Interpreters for other langauges can be arranged according to demand
On completion of the course, students will receive an official certificate signed by Sir Richard Branson. It will be presented to students by the official trainer at the end of the course, followed by a photo shoot in official Virgin Atlantic uniform.
