Course programme

There are no pre-entry requirements for this course but a current First Aid Certificate is recommended i.e. Appointed Persons. This course covers Climbing Trees and Performing Aerial Rescue.
This course is designed for people who own a chainsaw or are thinking about purchasing a chainsaw and would like to know the basics about maintenance and operation. You will cover:
Following the course, candidates will be assessed for NPTC Level 2 Award in Accessing a Tree using a Rope and Harness including Aerial Rescue Operations. This is a practical assessment which will take place on a separate day. Tests are organised by NPTC to take place at College, however if you wish to reschedule this to take place on your own site, please advise at time of booking.
Duration: 5 days plus assessment
