Reading: You can read and summarise information by selecting and using different types of documents to obtain relevant information; skim and scan documents to gain a general idea of content and identify the information you need; recognise the writer's intentions and identify the main points, ideas and lines of reasoning; summarise information to suit your purpose. Writing: You can present relevant information in a format that suits your purpose; structure your writing to help readers follow and understand your main points; spell, punctuate and use grammar accurately; construct complex sentences and make your meaning clear.
You can work with numbers, symbols, and simple diagrams. You can add and subtract simple numbers and use simple fractions. You can use money, tell the time, measure things and know about squares, triangles and rectangles.
What qualification will I receive?
City & Guilds Assessor Award, either A1 or A2.

What will I study?
You will be study the assessment process and you will be required to compile a portfolio of evidence to show your involvement within your organisation.
How will I be taught?
The programme is delivered through initial induction training sessions and then individual portfolio compiling workshops.
How will I be assessed?
The award is assessed through the compilation of a portfolio of evidence of competence in carrying out assessment or verification activities in the workplace.
