The course covers basic manual programming and machine set up for milling and turning machines using HAAS machine tools. This progresses to creating a program on Delcam Powermill CAD/CAM software.
Entry requirementsNone - although an understanding of basic machining would be preferred but is not essential.
Start dates and fees How long is the course?One evening a week for 35 weeks.
Location- Engineering Innovation Centre
You will be assessed through both practical assessment and multiple-choice examination.
What does the course lead to?Previous students look to gain employment in a CNC manufacturing role to supervisor/team leader level or progress to higher level qualifications to widen their knowledge of the subject.
