About this course
To provide the knowledge and skills to have a successful career in education or training. Learners may progress onto Certificate in Education & Training at Level 4, PGCE or undertake Assessor qualifications.
Intended for those already working in a teaching or training role, or those who would like to enter this area of work. It is applicable to those working in a self-employed role, in the education & training sector or delivering training in industry.
A good level of English, Maths and ICT skills are required to undertake this course.

Course programme
In order to achieve the HABC Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF), learners must achieve a minimum of 12 credits through studying:
Group 1 - a mandatory unit, worth 3 credits "Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships ineducation and training."
Group 2 - one unit, worth 6 credits, must be selected from:
"Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training"
"Facilitate learning and development for individuals"
"Facilitate learning and development for groups"
Group 3 - one unit, worth 3 credits must be selected from:
"Understanding assessment in education and training"
"Understanding the principles and practices of assessment."
