Course programme
There are two pathways within Combined Languages. Path A allows you to study your three languages in equal proportion. Path B allows you to vary the balance so that you can take a free elective.
First-year core modules include practical language skills modules at your chosen level in each of your three languages. You also have the option of studying modules relating to the culture of countries whose language you are studying France at War and Image and Identity in the Hispanic World, for instance or a practical module such as Language Learning and Teaching.
The Year Abroad (Year 3) is a wonderful opportunity which allows our you experience up to three different cultures and improve your language skills in a wide range of contexts (as a language assistant, in a work placement, at a university).
