Course programme
You take two language modules, one culture module in Italian (in the first year, for instance, that includes Post-War Italian History and Film, Modern Italy: History, Culture and Identity and Lies and Whispers in Italian Texts) and a further three modules. You can also choose to do an officially recognised teaching qualification through the Trinity CertTESOL module (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
Your third year is spent abroad and counts for 10% of your overall degree.
In your final year back at Hull, you will have the opportunity to undertake an extended research project. You will be assessed by written and oral exams, essays, presentations, portfolios and class participation.
