Biology is the study of all living organisms from bacteria living on the deep seabed to human beings, and involves approaches as different as molecular genetics, biotechnology and the study of animal behaviour. Such a breadth of subjects involves a large number of disciplines, and as one of the largest Bioscience departments in the UK with over 100 academic staff, the School of Biosciences at Cardiff University is able to provide the comprehensive coverage required. All of this provides ample opportunity for you to explore your chosen subject in depth, but also discover aspects of the biosciences that you might not have encountered before.
