Course Content
  • Year 1

    This course shares a common first year with BSc Computer Games Technology allowing you to transfer between them at the end of Year 1 should you wish to.

    In Year 1 you will study a core set of skills which includes programming, multimedia and internet development, maths and computer hardware and fundamentals. You will be designing and programming computer games from the outset using a variety of game programming languages and tools.

  • Year 2

    In your second and final years you will develop skills geared towards games design and development to enhance Year 1 modules. These will include study and practice in games design and development, multimedia development, and web and mobile development. The units will provide you with the underpinning knowledge to develop games for the important web and mobile markets. You will have a choice of options including mobile application development and human computer interaction, and complete a major project in a computer games related subject.

  • Year 3

    If you opt for the four year sandwich route your third year will be spent on placement.
