Similar to our BA (Hons) Festival & Event Management, this route allows you to specialise in Hospitality. Our Joint Honours course combines a sound knowledge of the dynamic field of festival and event management with hospitality to add value to your career prospects. You’ll benefit from studying in the heart of a city rich in culture and creative industries. Events, tourism and hospitality businesses flourish here so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to gain industry experience and make contacts via an optional industry placement or live project and part-time work. You’ll also have the opportunity to study abroad through our international exchange links and you may study a European language, which will prepare you for working in an international environment. You'll develop practical event management skills as well as a broad range of management techniques that can be applied to other industries. Specialising in hospitality will also give you the people and business skills you require to be successful in this demanding industry. You'll gain transferable skills in research, academic writing, communication and interpersonal relations, presentation and time management. This course is studied full-time over four years. You'll learn by a variety of teaching methods including lectures, tutorials and independent study. There is a work placement option in Year 3. We offer tuition that is supported by highly experienced teaching staff and strong industry links. This course contributes towards professional accreditation with the Institute of Hospitality.
