The fashion industry is led by brands trying to differentiating themselves from one another. To succeed in today’s competitive market companies need to define and communicate a compelling brand story to their consumers across both traditional and digital channels.
Our programme offers a unique 'fashion industry' experience for individuals who want to learn how to develop, promote, buy, merchandise, communicate and strategically manage a fashion brand. The programme offers creativity through the use of computer aided design and while fashion design and garment construction is not part of the programme an appreciate of design and fabric is gained to offer a complete and robust knowledge of this unique industry. As part of our commitment to the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME), you’ll also be thinking about the fashion industry itself, its image and its responsibilities in terms of ethics and fair trade.
Our industry links ensure you’ll be learning from professionals currently working in industry from national and international design houses, retailers and fashion magazines. Our guest speakers spend invaluable time with our students, sharing their unique insight and knowledge of both local and global markets, giving you an edge in a very competitive industry.
Fashion is a global industry and we want our graduates to have an international perspective. You’ll have options to study modern languages and to study abroad. We also organise optional annual study trips to iconic fashion capitals such as Paris, Milan and London.
