Introduction:
The Institute of Administrative Management is the leading professional body for those involved in the administration and management of business. The IAM Awarding Body is recognized by the regulators in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The organization is over 90 years old and has developed tailor-made qualifications in administrative management which reflect the skills and knowledge required by professional business leaders throughout their career.
CECOS is an IAM accredited centre offering the full range of IAM’s qualifications, from introduction to the subject up to the Advanced Diploma in Administrative Management. Successful completion of the IAM Advanced Diploma allows students to progress to the BA (Hons) Business Management top-up degree, offered by the Management Development Partnership and validated by the University of Wales. The IAM’s programmes are designed both to stand alone and to fit together logically: there is a clear link between each level, meaning that you can build on your prior learning and your growing work experience. Qualifications are delivered around the world in a network of specialised centres, CECOS is one of such centres, or via online learning. Those studying for IAM qualifications are given free student membership of the institute, and on completion will be able to claim professional membership.
The programme is for those who are aspiring to start a career as a business manager in business whether local, national or multinational organization or plan for higher education to do MBA. The main aim here is to enhance your skills and support your future progression at work.
The whole programme can be completed in three to four years. All stages, and CECOS entry requirements, are explained below.
Certificate: Students with Introductory Award or GCSE with at least 12 months experience in the relevant field can go straight on to Certificate programme. There are three units to be completed in two semesters. These three units provide in depth introduction to the field of Administrative Management and serve as a precursor to moving onto the IAM Diploma and beyond. For details please see modules’ schedule below.
