Course introduction: Our four- year Business Studies sandwich degree has been designed to meet the specific needs of businesses and to provide you with the skills and understanding to excel in your career. On this course you'll learn about the internal functions and structures of business organisations and the external drivers that impact on them. You'll then have the opportunity to apply this learning within your year-long placement in third year.   A number of joint honours degrees are available which allow you to combine your study of business with entrepreneurship, finance, human resource management and marketing.

Course programme

In preparation for your placement you'll be provided with a thorough grounding in key disciplines, and business processes and functions. The analytical and problem solving skills you'll develop will allow you to produce business plans, carry out market analysis and provide you with other key competencies which employers seek. You'll also expand your learning with a chance to study abroad for one trimester. You'll develop excellent transferable skills in communication, presentation, group working and analysis. All of which will prepare you for a number of careers in business. This is a full-time course studied over four years. You’ll learn by a variety of teaching methods including lectures, tutorials and through independent study.
