Course programme

You’ll graduate as an independent and reflective practitioner, with the skills, business contacts and working partnerships you need to build a career in the creative industries. We’ll help you develop strong professional skills including management, marketing, negotiation, business and freelance working.

You’ll become an adaptable professional, able to work across disciplines and offer a complete and strategic service to employers and clients. We enable you to build on your creative and technical skills, developing an individual visual language supported by appropriate theories and working practice. You’ll create a portfolio of work relevant to your chosen area of professional practice, and present your work to audiences and clients using a variety of media.

Alongside this, you’ll study the subject’s contextual underpinnings, gaining a strong understanding of the concepts, values and debates that inform and influence contemporary art practice. We’ll also give you an understanding of the socio-cultural contexts that contemporary artists work within.
