About this Course Normally 1.5 days a week - day and time subject to confirmation This innovative degree programme challenges conventional conceptions of photography. Our critical, questioning approach is grounded in studentsâ active and playful exploration of techniques, histories and creative approaches to the core medium of photography and in the wider field of practices, including constructed image, installation, projection, moving image, sound, new and mixed media. The flexible programme of taught and self-directed study enables students to gain the confidence, skills and knowledge to be able to develop and determine their own unique practice in and beyond photographic art. Students can also move between part time and full time participation in the course in the context of their changing individual circumstances. This innovative degree programme challenges conventional conceptions of photography. Additional information
There are many progression routes on from this course with many students going on to careers as exhibiting artists/photographers, curators and gallery administrators. Others develop their practices in the wider fields of film/video, web design and commercial work. Some pursue Masters courses in their specialisms and/or complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Education to develop a career in art/photographic education.
