Produce a portfolio of evidence demonstrating relevant and recent work experience equivalent to Foundation degree level.

Course programme

The course’s vocational focus means you’ll spend a significant amount of time in the workplace, gaining experience, managing projects and developing strong commercial skills. You’ll become a creative and innovative practitioner, with a strong understanding of marketing strategies so you can promote your work.

Through a research project, you’ll develop appreciation of the role of design in modern society, and explore ethical and cultural issues. Throughout the year, you’ll work with your classmates to plan a final showcase of your work which will take the form of a touring exhibition. You’ll manage the exhibition as a business group, from concept to implementation, taking responsibility for all aspects of the delivery.

Course assessment

This course is assessed through portfolios, presentations, business planning, journals, project proposals, and a final exhibition.
