Are you interested in working in the diverse travel and tourism industry? Would you like to start a successful management career? This course gives you the opportunity to gain a full, academic degree whilst developing your managerial skills and your knowledge of travel and tourism. This BA (Hons) degree gives you an in-depth understanding of travel and tourism, preparing you for a career in this world-wide sector. You will get an insight into the emergence of travel and tourism as a major phenomenon, and you will be able to understand continuing developments and expansions. Importantly, you will develop the business knowledge and management skills necessary for a successful career, and will learn how to apply them directly to the travel and tourism industry. Overall, the course prepares you for a management career in this sector, providing you with an academic expertise that is practical and applied. The course includes visits by guest speakers who are invited on some modules to share their knowledge and experience. You will be able to benefit from the specialist expertise of these guest speakers and you will also get an idea of what opportunities exist in the travel and tourism sector. There are a number of outside visits arranged as part of the course. These can include both day visits and residential trips which enable you to have real-life experience of the industry. Additional information This 3 year programme is for current progressing students only. New applicants are instead invited to apply for the 2 year Foundation Degree (FdA) Tourism Management: The introduction of an additional top-up year qualification, which will give students a full Honours degree, is currently being reviewed. About this course

A minimum of 64 UCAS tariff points from any full Level 3 qualification including A Levels or BTEC National Diploma in addition, three GCSE passes at Grade C or above including both Mathematics and English/Welsh or equivalent.
Successful completion of any Access to Higher Education programme at Grwp Llandrillo Menai.
Those without such qualifications are considered on an individual basis and a wide range of prior experience may be taken into account. Potential students will be asked to demonstrate performance at level 4 through an assessment at interview.
