Course Overview

Each year of the three years academic program requires the study of four core units. These are examined by the University of London in late May and results are published in July. Over the duration of the course, students study 8 compulsory modules and 4 optional modules.

There are no official course assignments to complete, simply a three hour written paper for each unit.

Tuition is principally provided in the form of lectures. These are supplemented by tutorials as appropriate.

Course Aim

In all cultures some professions stand out as more prestigious than others. The legal profession does just that. The completion of a legal education program is a springboard to many careers and pursuits. Many Prime Ministers, Presidents and Corporate Chairmen have a legal background.

Legal knowledge and education is a great asset whether or not one practices as a professional lawyer. This knowledge is equally beneficial to both a street vendor and a corporate chairman. They both need to know the rudiments of law, as do we, because it affects all our lives.

However, for many aspiring law graduates the cost of legal education is prohibitive. At ECBC we are able to assist students by a substantial reduction of fees for the basic LLB program through providing tuition to the external students of the University of London LLB degree. This has the same validity as the internal LLB program.
