Requirements:
All those enrolled on the course must be physically fit and able.
Be able to show original certification to CS30 or equivalent to the instructor at the start of the course.
The following items must be taken by students to the course site or can be hired by prior arrangement.
All equipment must be in a safe and useable working condition.
- Chainsaw with 380mm guide bar (max).
- Chainsaw safety helmet with ear muffs and visor.
- Chainsaw safety trousers.
- Chainsaw safety boats.
- Chainsaw safety gloves.
- Personal first aid kit.
- One 100mm plastic or aluminium wedge.
Content:
The pre-requisite for this course is that all candidates must hold the basic certificate of competence covering "Maintain and operate the Chainsaw".
If the "Maintenance" course was carried out three or more years ago, a day refresher course will be required before commencing this course.
