About this course

You must currently work within a food or drink enviroment dealing with customers and be aged 19 or over. You will undertake an initial assessment in Literacy and Numeracy and support will be offered in these areas if needed. There are other eligibility criteria relating to prior qualifications and residency which will be discussed at interview.

What will I learn?
The course is designed to look at your current skills and build new skills working towards a qualification in your workplace. You will create a portfolio of evidence in your role to demonstrate your ability to do your job. You will work gathering evidence towards units such as: *Serving alcoholic drinks *Teamwork *Handling and recieving payments *Serving food at the table *Give customers a positive impression of yourself.

How will I be assessed?
You will be observed working in your current working enviroment , creating a portfolio of evidence. Feedback on your progress will be given and sessions planned for gathering evidence working toward a national standard.

What can I do after the course?
Progression onto a Team Leading Qualification or Hospitality supervision dependant on current job role.
