Basic Pharmacology - a distance learning course by BSYThose looking for complementary therapy from a natural health therapist may have existing conditions for which they take medication. Armed with knowledge of pharmacology and the actions and effects that drugs have on the body will enable you to design a better therapeutic programme for your clients.This Basic Pharmacology course will also explore common major medical conditions and which pharmacological interventions are usually prescribed by physicians. You will learn to identify side effects of drugs in order to better understand what is happening in your client's health. There will also be discussion of how drugs are developed and the process of administration, distribution, metabolism and elimination (ADME) which all drugs go through.This course could be used as a foundation to a personal study of pharmacology or a beneficial addition to the knowledge of any practising complementary therapist.
