Basic Plumbing

Capital Training (SW) Ltd offers an intensive hands-on plumbing training course to suit a variety of people from all walks of life. Whether you wish to undertake the course for DIY purposes or are considering a career change this 5-day course has been designed to equip you with both the underpinning knowledge and an understanding of the practical skills required to cope with basic and/or emergency plumbing tasks. Furthermore, as we adhere to City & Guilds and CAA requirements you can be assured that all facilities and staff in place are to the highest of standards and that we deliver quality plumbing training to your requirements.

We know that plumbing tasks are varied and complex and we are not offering this course with a promise of making you a qualified plumber. What we are offering is the opportunity for you to learn the basic principles of domestic plumbing.

The course covers the following;

· An introduction to Plumbing regulations

· The correct usage of Plumbing tools, equipment and blow lamps

· An oversight of plumbing materials

· Tap and Waste trap maintenance

· Removal & Installation of radiators and/or damaged pipes

· Drain down water system

· Installation of plastic and copper pipe-works

· An introduction to copper and plastic pipe-working jointing

· Pipe-Bending

On completion of the course you will receive either a Capital Training (SW) Ltd certificate of competency or OCN Accreditation, helpful notes and photographic portfolio showing the stages of the work you have carried out during the period you have trained with us. Throughout your training all tools and equipment will be fully provided and demonstrated.

What do I need to bring?

All tools and equipment will be fully provided and demonstrated, you will need to wear safety boots for the duration of the course - you can either supply this yourself or purchase them from us at a cost of £15.
