Suitable for: Mature Career Changers wanting to enter the industry, Trainee scaffolders and scaffolders working in the industry with no qualifications who want and by law need a recognised qualification to start a lucrative career in the industry. Objectives:
At the end of the instruction the candidates will be able to:
- Safely erect and dismantle:
- - An independent scaffold with a return
- - A mobile and static tower
- - A putlog and a system scaffold with a return
- - A birdcage scaffold
- Inspect and erect ladders
- Inspect and fix gin wheels
- Tie knots and hitches common with scaffolding

- Health & Safety legislation & regulations

- Estimating basic scaffold quantities
- Understanding drawings
- Basic scaffold erection exercises
- Basic scaffold alteration exercises

Safety Requirements:
PPE must be worn at all times throughout the instruction.
