Course programme

BEADS - PMC AND GLASS

The aim of this course is to inform students of the possibilities when working with lampwork, glass beads and PMC.

The first day we will focus on lampwork glass beads. You will make spotty beads and your own stringers to decorate your beads. You will also work with frit and gold leaf in a range of other decorative techniques.

The second day we will use traditional silver techniques to make a chain and work with PMC to make silver charms. PMC - precious metal clay - is an exciting medium. It is silver which is ground into powder then mixed with an organic binder to make clay which you will then fire to make your silver charms.

The combination of glass beads and silver charms will make fascinating charm bracelets and an exciting course.
