Course Contents

Mandatory units:

• Develop and Maintain Your Effectiveness At Work

• Ensure Your Own Actions Reduce Risks to Health and Safety

• Improve and Maintain Facial Skin Condition

• Promote Additional Products or Services to Clients

• Provide Eyelash and Eyebrow Treatments

• Provide Manicure Treatment

• Provide Pedicure Treatment

• Remove Hair Using Waxing Techniques

The above units are inclusive of related anatomy and physiology, retail and marketing elements.

Optional Units:

• Extend and Maintain Nails

• Fulfil Salon Reception Duties

• Provide Make-up Treatment

Progression

• Further study may include SVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy.

• Employment as a beauty therapist in beauty clinics/salons and retail. Other opportunities may be found in the field of beauty therapy,leisure, retail and the commercial make-up industry.

Duration: 2 Weeks Full time intensive or 1 weekend a month over 9 Months.
