2. Course description If you're looking to develop the techniques you have learnt in beauty therapy a little further, and would like to start learning some of the more advanced skills used in the industry, then this Level 3 Certificate is a great place to begin. You'll be introduced to a range of skills associated with body massage, focusing on the basics at first before exploring all the variations of this diverse treatment and deepening your knowledge. To help you advance in the industry, you'll also learn more about the importance of looking after clients, and how to effectively follow health & safety practices in the salon. Part of this Level 3 Beauty Therapy Certificate also allows you to choose your own optional units, with at least one required to reach the minimum number of credits. You might want to stick with massage techniques and look at using aromatherapy oils, or you may wish to try something different, like providing UV tanning or applying permanent lashes. You can study what you'd like, because the choice is yours.

3. Entry requirements To enrol on this Level 3 Beauty Therapy Certificate, you'll need to have at least three GSCEs at grades A*-C, including both English and a creative GCSE. Assessment method Throughout the duration of this course, you'll be assessed in a number of different ways, including regular practical and written work, written tests, assignments and practical observations. You'll build up a portfolio of evidence (that will include pre-observations and final tests), and take part in a work placement to gain relevant industry experience.
