Content * Learning takes place in salons, receptions and classrooms using demonstrations, practical workshops, work packages, theory and practical sessions, the salons operate as a business in order to provide a realistic working environment. Covered in the course will be; * Health and Safety * Reception * Teamwork * Promotion and consultation * Hygiene * Anatomy and physiology * Legislation * Make-up * Lash and brow treatments * Manicure, pedicure and specialist skin/ nail treatments Assessment By continual assessment throughout the course using unit end tests, assignments, practical assessments on paying clients, case studies and externally set tests at the end of each unit. Evidence is collected in a large portfolio, which is cross-referenced to an assessment book Qualifications Gained - VTCT NVQ in Beauty Therapy at Level 2 over 2 years Progression NVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy part 2 (which can be taken in the same year as part 1) NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy
