Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 2

Suitable for applicants who are able to demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm, a professional manner and appearance and an aptitude for working with people.

3 GCSEs minimum grade D preferably English, Maths and Science, plus students should demonstrate commitment, the ability to work with people and an interest in beauty therapy. A satisfactory interview and references are required.

This programme gives a broad introduction to beauty therapy and develops practical skills required by industry. Educational visits may include the National Beauty Exhibition and students participate in themed college competitions. Students are taught in working salons in college, which are open to the public. Key Skills are an integral part of the course.

All students will study towards Key Skills Certification.

Students will be continually assessed through a series of practical, written and oral assessments. Additional evidence will be required through assignment work.
