Description of the Course
This course is designed for people who are interested in developing the skills and knowledge required to become a Beauty Therapist. This course is delivered by Industrially experienced Beauty Therapists.
Course content
Mandatory units
9 units are required for full Certificate.

· G1 - Ensure your own actions reduce risks to Health & Safety.
· G4 - Reception Duties
· G6 - Promote additional products or services to clients.
· G8 - Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work.
· BT4 - Improve and maintain facial condition.
· BT5 - Provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments.
· BT6 - Remove hair using Wax techniques.
· BT7 - Provide Manicure treatment.
· BT8 - Provide Pedicure treatment.
· You will be required to attend Exhibitions and Enrichment Programmes.

Assessment
Coursework, practical observations, assignments, work place experience, case studies and external exams. 9 units are required for full Certificate.
Who is the course for?
Entry requirements
An Average Grade Point of 4 or better & GCSE English & Science Grade D or better. You may also be asked to demonstrate your commitment and skills in an interview. Over 19's will undertake a basic skills screener and demonstrate life skills or relevant experience.
What can I do after this course?
To NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy/Specialist Beauty Therapy Courses.
