What will I learn?
The aim of this programme is to explore beauty therapy as a career and to introduce you to basic salon procedures. This course consists of mandatory units relating to health and safety, assist in salon reception duties, prepare and maintain the beauty therapy work area, assist with facial treatments and assist with nail treatments on the hands. Also included are ESOL sessions to help improve literacy skills, ICT skills and tutorials with personal tutor.

How will I be taught?
This course has practical sessions delivered in Commercial Beauty salons with theory being delivered using state of the art interactive whiteboards and ICT provision to help with assignments. One to one tutorial support is provided by industry qualiifed lecturers with up to date knowledege of new and emerging trends. Online English exam are part of this course.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is carried out by Practical Observation, Oral Questioning, Assignments and Written Papers.

VTCT NVQ Beauty Therapy Level 2 course or other Holistic courses.

Employers will have qualified Junior employees and the possibility of staff going on to becomeing full Level 2 Beauticians.
