Beauty Therapy with ESOL Support - NVQ Level 2

You will study a range of beauty techniques, developing the skills you need to carry out facials, hair removal, manicures and pedicures, and eyebrow and eyelash treatments.

You will learn about the day-to-day running of a beauty salon, including health and safety procedures, customer relations and reception duties.

You will also have plenty of opportunity to practise what you are learning on real customers in the College¿s own salon.

You will receive ESOL support throughout the course.

You need to have Entry Level 3 ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), as well as a keen interest in beauty therapy and good people skills.

You will be assessed on the practical work that you do in the beauty salon, as well as observations, an e-portfolio, on-line testing, assignments and oral questioning.

On successful completion of the course, you will achieve the NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy.

You can then develop your skills further through a range of Level 3 courses in beauty and holistic therapies.
