Study Computer-aided mechanical engineering at GCU and become a virtual engineer. Computer-aided mechanical engineers design and test new products or systems without having to build expensive prototypes. You will learn the fundamental principles of engineering, design, computer aided engineering (CAE) and manufacturing. At GCU you will use industry-standard software such as PTC Creo and ANSYS and benefit from the industrial experience gained through work placements and visiting lecturers from industry. The computer-aided mechanical engineering degree is delivered both full-time and part-time. There is the option to go on a one year placement and to progress to the MEng. SQA HND: HND in a relevant Engineering subject with Maths for Engineering 1 and 2 or Engineering Maths 1, 2, 3 and 4 with B in the graded unit

SQA Higher: BBBC including Maths and either Physics, Technological Studies or Engineering Science plus Nat 5 English at C

A level: BCC including Maths and Physics plus GCSE English at C

ILC Higher: B1 B1 B2 B2 including Maths and Physics plus Ordinary Level English at B1

IB Diploma: 24 points must include Maths and Physics

BTEC: Level 3 Extended Diploma in relevant Engineering subject at DMM

SQA HNC: HNC in a relevant Engineering subject with Maths for Engineering 1 or Engineering Maths 1 and 2 with B in the graded unit.
