Entry requirements
You will need:
240 credits at levels 4 and 5
plus a minimum of 120 credits at L5 from any relevant programmes such as a HND / FdEng or equivalent.
International criteria
International students need to meet our English language requirement at either IELTS at 6.0 or above and a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).

Course detail
Students are taught the relevant practical skills using state-of-the-art technology to produce practical and innovative solutions to a wide range of engineering problems.

The course provides an integrated approach to electrical and electronic engineering by combining academic rigour with engineering design applications, business skills and professional studies. The course has been designed to provide students with a wide range of engineering knowledge and skills required for their chosen career path in such fields as: electrical or electronic engineering, power engineering, communication systems, analogue systems and digital systems. Students are taught the relevant practical skills using state-of-the-art technology to produce practical and innovative solutions to a wide range of engineering problems.

Students will be given the opportunity to specialise in their chosen field of engineering by choosing elective optional modules. When it comes to final year projects, students are encouraged to develop their own projects and where possible, to engage with an industry partner.
