History

Splat Cooking was established in 2001 and has taught thousands of children and adults to cook over that time as well as inspired a lot more with Beverley's cookery demonstrations, newspaper and magazine articles and TV Shows.The company was originally created to run children's cooking parties in DIY kit form, these kits are still going strong and are sent all over the world so any child, anywhere can have a cooking party without having to rely on someone to coming to run it. We make life as easy as possible for Mum to run it with full instructions and in depth tips.The parties were so popular this spurred Beverley on to launch the cookery school and teach children to cook, encourage them to experiment with food and discover where the ingredients come from that end up as a meal on our plates whilst having fun. The children were having so much fun that their parents wanted to get involved too - hence the adult courses and workshops were launched.

The Splat Cooking team have a wealth of experience between them, all the recipes are tried and tested before being let loose on customers. We work in small groups, usually up to 6 adults, so you receive a very personal level of attention and we can usually adapt the courses to meet individual requirements too.The team are all food hygiene trained and hold enhanced CRB. Everyone has undertaken the school's training programme and they continue to undertake refresher courses and new courses. The school is also an accredited CIEH Food Safety training centre, Beverley and Alison both hold their Advanced Food Safety Certificate.The Splat Cooking team don't make assumptions about anyone's skill level, if you're willing to have a go then that's fine by us and we make sure that the courses are held for small numbers so we can give you the one to one attention you require.

Cookery, family cookery, children's cookery, cake decorating, Thai Food, Chinese Food, Italian Food, Food Hygiene, pastry, cupcakes, Edible Christmas presents, Easter, Halloween and bonfire night food, party food, barbeques, healthy and low fat cookery, pasta, breadmaking and yeasted doughs.We run specialist icing courses using the different icings - sugarpaste, fondant, buttercream, royal, flowerpaste and chocolate.Beverley and the team regularly run children's cookery workshops at major food festivals and events such as The Children's Food Festival, The Chitern Show, Bucks County Show, Henley Food Festival and lots of others.They are available for hire for corporate events, for children's activities or for Corporate Adult Cookery Workshops.

We are a Cookery School for children and adults run by celebrity chef Beverley Glock, The Time's Children's Food Expert and Ocado's Face of Family Food in her wonderful Mill on the edge of the Chilterns.Beverley passes on her passion for food which is easy to prepare but tastes amazing through her cookery school. Courses for adults range from Thai and Seasonal Food to Beverley's extremely popular Cupcake and Posh Icing Courses.Children's courses take place during school holidays or at the weekends with Beverley's Saturday Morning Cooking Club and Saturday afternoons are dedicated to Teenagers with Monthly Cooking Clubs and Duke of Edinburgh Courses.Adult courses take place during the week in term time, daytime and evening courses are available.Beverley and her team are available for corporate events, one to one sessions as well as to run children's and teenagers cooking parties.Local Bed and Breakfast accommodation is available if you're travelling a long distance.
