On completion candidates will be able to apply their newly gained knowledge and skills to manage and reduce conflict in their workplace. They will adopt a fresh approach to dealing with aggressive and violent individuals, adopt a proactive approach to preventing conflict and protect themselves better from the unknown risk of violence which occurs in their workplace.

This knowledge will allow them to manage their workplace more effectively and professionally and work towards a productive working environment, free from violence.

Conflict Management and Resolution skills not only allow candidates to manage and resolve aggression and violence in their workplace they also develop confidence and the ability to work effectively in difficult environments.

Candidates who have attended Conflict Management training will be able to transfer these skills from one working environment to another and from one employer to another. Some sectors such as the NHS require all employers to attend Conflict Management training.

About this course

The qualification is nationally recognised and is designed for:
 licensed retailers
 assistant managers
 relief managers
 supervisory/key staff
operating in all types of licensed retail outlet including:
 pubs
 bars
 nightclubs
 entertainment venues
 hotels
 restaurants
 off-licences
 supermarkets

There are no specific entry requirements for this course. However candidates should notify us if they are under the age of 18.

The BIIAB Award in Conflict Management has been designed to be delivered in one day and includes a short multiple-choice examination. A comprehensive handbook, presented in a easy-to-follow format, supports the qualification and covers all the information needed for the examination. In order to pass the examination 23 out of 30 questions must be answered correctly.
