This course is a nationally recognised qualification designed for applicants for the Justices' On-Licences in England and Wales. The course is designed to meet the training and qualification criteria defined by the Licensing Magistrates.
The programme includes comprehensive training on:
- Justices' Licences and the types
- Permitted Hours
- Employment of Young Persons
- Betting, Gaming and Lotteries
- Public Entertainment
- Weights and Measures Act (Intoxicating Liquor) Order 1988
- Trades Descriptions Act and Consumer Protection Act
- Price Marking (Food and Drink on Premises) Order 1979
- The prevention of and dealing with violence
- Door Staff
- Pubwatch
Every candidate, on successful completion of the multiple-choice examination, will be awarded the National Certificate for Licensees by the BIIAB. The award is recognised by licensing benches as evidence of the applicant's knowledge and understanding of the licensing laws and social responsibilities, associated with running on-licensed premises. We also offer an excellent training programme for routine bar staff.
