BIIAB National Certificate for Door Supervisors (Scotland)
This nationally recognised qualification is the industry standard and enables a door supervisor to apply for a licence to practice. The course is designed for those who wish to work in the industry, and covers the basic knowledge and responsibilities required for Door Supervisors.
Unit 1: Roles and Responsibilities of Door Supervisors covering: Behavioural standards, Customer service skills, Health and Safety at work, Civil and criminal law, Law and licensing, Equal opportunities, Young persons, Searching people, Offensive weapons, First aid and emergencies, Drugs, Arrest, Incident recording and scene preservation.
Unit 2: Conflict Management for Door Supervisors covering: Self-awareness, Avoiding conflict, Effective communication, Recognising and defusing conflict, Resolving and learning from conflict.
Assessment is via two multiple-choice question papers - one for each unit.
Further Study/Employment
On successful completion of each unit, candidates receive a nationally recognised certificate awarded by the BIIAB.
