Course Description
This course provides a broad understanding of the main branches of Science together with practical laboratory experience. Designed for students who are unsure which branch of Science interests them most and provides the opportunity to study Chemistry, Biology and Physics at university level.

Preferred Entry Requirements
At least 1 Higher (grade D or above) in an appropriate Science subject (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Maths) plus 2 Standard Grades or 2 Intermediate 2 awards in Science subjects OR appropriate range of SQA NC modules or NQ units. Entry by informal interview.

Course Content
Chemistry; Computer Applications; Statistics; Cell Biology; Biochemistry; Microbiology; Immunology;DNA and Molecular Techniques.

Progression
Employment as a Science Technician or Junior Laboratory Supervisor. 1st or 2nd year entry to relevant University Degree courses. HND Biomedical Science.
