Are you looking to get savvy with 3D modelling? This course teaches individuals how to take advantage of the features in Blender 3D in order make high end 3D models.
Blender is an open source 3D animation software package. It can be used for modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, rigging, skinning, animating, rendering, particle and other simulations, non-linear editing, compositing, and creating interactive 3D applications.
This five day program is broken up into two parts. Part one will last two days and consists primarily in learning the basics of Blender 3D such as the interface, windows, and toolbars. Participants will learn how to create objects, save files and scenes, add, select, move and delete objects, as well as how to manipulate objects using the 3D cursor. The intstructor will explain how to use layers and layer shortcuts, as well as how to use box and vertex modelling. There are add-ons and preferences in Blender that are helpful and which will also be explained. Participants will also learn lighting and rendering.
Part two is three days of instruciton at a more advanced level. Part two participants will learn effective modeling and rigging techniques and will practice adding animation to their projects. Also included is instruction on UV unwrapping, textures, and materials. Participants will learn these skills and much more from this course.
About this course
This course is targeted at those who are starting from scratch and looking to develop advanced Blender skills quickly. You should have good general computer skills, but do not need to have prior experience of working with Blender.
