iPhone apps are popular. We started this year by the announcement that 10 billion apps had been downloaded from Apple’s app store and I remember reading last year in the Huffington Post that 99,8% of students have some type of cellphone. So the combination apps + students should be obvious shouldn’t it?

6.) Free Wi-Fi Finder

Price: $0

We can navigate to settings and search manually for wifi hotspots not knowing if just by moving a few feet away there is a network OR we can use this great app that tells us exactly what are the free hotspots in our area. Best of all, we don’t have to be online to find the hotspots! Great for us iPad owners who didn’t get the 3G version.

By the way, a little note to say we all nead to learn Algerbra and how to calculate percentage equations, that said we advice you to not use these apps as an alternative to learning. Rather it should be a fun option in situations away from the classroom.
