Students grades went up 5% when math classes were moved away from the classroom.
I just read this news article in the Theglobeandmail.com about a teacher who decided to do prerecorded video lessons and let his students participate from home. Sounds brilliant to me, but I am also a firm believer that the space you’re in is not as important as the results coming out from your head, hands or whatever your working tool is.

The same article is talking about South Korea’s plans on having a paperless education system by 2015 and providing every child with an iPad. Every child with an iPad!
A paperless society, paperless offices, 100% digital. Are we doing in that direction? If so, what risks are we facing with the massive amount of hours young people spend in front of a screen, teachers losing importance in the classrooms and libraries closing down one after one?
