What qualifications do I need?

The Apprenticeship programme is for young people between the ages of 16 and 24 who wish to pursue a career in the vehicle body repair industry. You will need to have grades C-G in English, Maths and ICT.

What’s involved?

You will study a variety of units relating to body and paint including:

  • Health and safety
  • Supporting job roles in the automotive environment
  • Removal and replacement procedures
  • Skills in tool use
  • Applying fillers and foundation materials
  • Repairing metals and pre-painted surfaces
  • Repairing minor paint defects
How will I be studying?

The vehicle repair facilities include a new workshop with fully functional ventilated spray booths, paint mixing area, repair areas for body repairs, welding facilities and all other dedicated equipment necessary for repairing a vehicle’s body work.

Where can I move on to after this course?

On successful completion of the course you can move on to the Level 3 Apprenticeship or employment.
